Welcome Back, Rummel Creek
A new school year, exciting plans ahead, and a summer of impact already underway
Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year, and to the Rummel Creek Men’s Club’s eighth year of bringing our community together and supporting Rummel Creek Elementary. We have a lot planned, including returning favorites, upgraded events, new additions and some great member giveaways. We’ll reveal the full calendar in next week’s email. For now, we wanted to share how your continued membership has already been putting your support to work this summer through three important community and philanthropic initiatives.

What We’ve Been Working on This Summer
Your membership helps RCMC to make an impact long before students return to campus.
Refreshing the RCE Field for Fall

After a rough spring for the grass and a major goose grass outbreak over the summer, RCMC completed an expanded re-sodding project this past week. Roughly 17,000 square feet of high-quality Bermuda was installed, helping prepare the field for another busy fall of recess, PE, and student sports. This investment ensures that RCE students and teams will return to a safer, stronger, and more durable playing surface this school year.
Supporting the Beautification of RCE

In June, RCMC made a $10,000 contribution to Project Memorial to help support the ongoing beautification of the front of Rummel Creek Elementary. These revitalization efforts included the installation of new landscaping and hardscaping and should be a noticeable improvement during school drop-off and throughout the year. Importantly, these enhancements are being privately funded through Project Memorial, a nonprofit led by neighbor Shannon Robinson, and RCMC was proud to help support that effort.
Supporting Five Student Scholarships
RCMC also continued its commitment to student opportunity by supporting five scholarships for former Rummel Creek Elementary students through the Spring Branch Education Foundation. Helping students succeed beyond their years at RCE is an important part of our mission, and we are proud to support young people in our broader community as they continue their education and take the next steps in their journeys.
